I am hitting your inbox a little later than usual this Friday…
You know the feeling when it has been one of THOSE weeks? The weeks where it seems like there are roadblocks every which way you turn?
It has been one of those weeks for me.
It can be really hard not to get stuck in a funk when this happens. And not spiral down a negative path of thinking.
It is so easy to fall into old, comfortable patterns where we beat ourselves up for not doing the right things, saying the right things, getting all the things done, and doing all the things our brain says we should do to be a good woman… wife… mother… daughter… sister… aunt… friend… employee… this list could go on and on.
BUT. Let’s instead pause, reflect and redirect.
So, this week’s Fresh Face Friday doesn’t look like my other blog posts — and that’s okay (saying that to my perfectionist — anyone else got a pesky perfectionist? I named mine Shannon).
If it has been one of those weeks for you too, I encourage you to take 10 minutes today and just pause. Get in a comfortable position. Close your eyes. And just breathe.
Place your hand on your heart — and reflect on all the GOOD you ARE and DO.
Now, let’s redirect our thinking with some affirmations:
I am enough just as I am
I am grateful for all the lessons that fuel my growth
I am proud of the successes I have each day
I love and accept myself unconditionally
